Palk Arms - Hennock (10 min walk) – 16th Century Free House is set high above the Teign Valley in the village of Hennock and has wonderful panoramic views over the rolling hills and beautiful countryside. Free/Low Cost Attractions:

Beaches - Stickwick is ideally positioned close to the Moor and the beaches. Our nearest beach is Teignmouth (7 miles) with sand and shingle beach. It also has an amusement pier and a few activities (pitch ‘n’ putt). Within 8 miles is also Shaldon and Dawlish (parking can be difficult) beaches again sand and shingle, but not many shops/activities for children. Further afield are Paignton and Torquay (12 miles) with more sandy beaches. These are large towns with lots to see and do, water sports etc.

Stover Country Park – Heathfield, Nr Trago Mills. Stover Country Park contains over 114 acres of woodland, heathland, grassland, lake and marsh and a substantial variety of wildlife (75p car park charge for 2 hrs). www.devon.gov.uk/stover_country_park
