Stickwick offers extensive on site facilities for all ages and occasions. Children can run and explore after a day out before tea in the games barn/play area or enjoy that special family bbq in the toasting shack which carries on into the evening under the stars, there is something for everyone at Stickwick.

Our rustic outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ (extra charge) and fire pit, offers a magical way to experience the simple delights of fire watching, marshmellow toasting and watching the sun go down and the stars appear above, whilst you snuggle under blankets with just cosy candle light flicking all “hygge” style.
RUSTIC GAMES BARN
There are activities for all ages, in our large rustic play barn, which has table tennis, a medium sized pool table and darts for the older children and adults; with ride on toys, a dressing up box and DVDs for the under 5s, and a selection of bats, balls, skittles and board games for all.
Our wellie library is a great addition on damp days to travel across the field to explore the woodland walk and the beach borrow ensures body boards, buckets, spades and nets etc are ready and waiting for those warm sunny summer days.
LARGE PLAY AREA
The large outdoor play lawn, provides an excellent space for ball games such as football and cricket, and volley ball/badminton an ideal way to let off steam. Alongside play equipment which consists of a slide, swings and sand pit.
BEAUTIFUL SUNNY GARDENS
All three properties share an open plan pretty front garden with many British flowers growing in the borders and expansive country views. With teak wooden furniture and shady parasol for each property you can just sit back, relax and enjoy watching the wildlife that surrounds you and listen to the tranquil countryside beyond.
The nearby woodland walk (steep and uneven), allows you discover flora and fauna in our hidden valley with diverse woodland, stream and pretty meadow. Explore and play and even build your own den!
CHILD FRIENDLY ANIMALS
Visit our friendly farm animals anytime; including chickens, ducks, rabbits and our goats(Jeffery and Bobby). Future farmers welcome to come and help feed up in the morning. Our three friendly donkeys, Rocky, Max and Duke love to nibble a carrot anytime!
If you would like to help feed the animals in the morning with Richard, please just ask. We can accommodate most requests, although there are busy times on the farm when this may not be possible.
FARMSHOP – LARDER ROOM & CATERING
Our onsite Farm Larder Room (honesty shop) offers a range of both local and homemade produce available for you to pre order in advance, ready for your arrival, or just pick up anytime and pay at the end of your stay.
We can supply you with our expertly butchered, local farm reared pork, lamb and beef in the form of quality bacon, sausages, burgers, mince and chops all freshly frozen for you.
You will also find local eggs, homemade cakes, crumbles & scones (pre orders made fresh, otherwise frozen), Devon homemade preserves & chutneys, Dartmoor ice cream, Luscombe fruit juices and a wide range of high quality cook from frozen ready meals and pies (all subject to season/ availability).
We can also provide you with a list of local caterers and chefs whom will come to Stickwick and prepare/drop off delicious meals or come in and run the whole show from start to finish the perfect options for any special occasion, and no dishes at the end.
Large groups also have the option of ordering in a perfect start to the day with breakfast hamper providing everything you need for a local province cooked breakfast or why not ask us to come in a cook the delicious breakfast for you, served in the Manor dining room, and all cleared away again; an ideal option for wedding families or weekend getaways.
WALLED KITCHEN GARDEN
A true ‘Peter Rabbit’ garden full of seasonal fruit and veg. We have a wonderful soil at Stickwick which allows us to grow almost anything. The home grown flowers provide our guests with a beautiful arrangement on arrival (subject to availability). Just ask and come and take a look and have a chat with Richard.
A wide range of group activities can be organised, some of which will run on site. Just ask about yoga, murder mystery, craft activities, karaoke, simulated shooting, quad biking and much more. Click here for some options but do ask if you have any other ideas.
