What truly sets Stickwick apart is our on-site accommodation for up to 24 guests. Friends and family can stay together all weekend, turning your event into a shared experience – with no need for late-night travel or organising transport home.

Wedding Ceremonies
Although we do not hold a wedding license, couples planning a wedding, have the option of Hennock village church (St Marys) which is a ten minute walk from Stickwick, making The Apple Barn an ideal location for a wedding reception close to your ceremony.
A Blank Canvas for DIY Events
The Apple Barn is designed for those who want freedom and flexibility. You’re welcome to organise your own DIY event, styling the space exactly as you wish. The barn provides everything you need to get started, while still allowing you to bring in your own ideas, suppliers and personal touches.

“Fabulous 50th Birthday Party!
We recently attended a family 50th birthday party at the Apple Barn, and what a fantastic venue it is!
The space itself is amazing – it has a well-equipped kitchen area, a bar, plenty of parking, and outdoor fields where the children could run around and play safely. It really catered perfectly for all ages.
The country and western atmosphere was brilliant. With the disco, lighting, hay bales, and barrels, it created such a fun and memorable setting for the evening. It felt unique and full of character.
The Apple Barn is so flexible and adaptable for different types of events. After experiencing it firsthand, it’s definitely somewhere I would consider booking for an event of my own in the future. Highly recommended!”

The Apple Barn FAQs
No – we cannot offer a legal civil ceremony at Stickwick but can offer celebrants and commitment ceremonies. The village church (St Marys) is a ten minute walk away.
Yes, We offer a simple kitchen area in the barn with a small fridge and freezer space (more may need to be hired in), urns, kettles, work tops, sink and hot water. We do offer a six burner, two oven gas range but at an additional cost.
Cutlery, crockery and glassware will need to be hired in.
We can discuss staff options to help serve/clean away if needed. You can organise your own caterers to come in.
We can run a bar on your behalf, or you could do this yourself or bring in a supplier. Glasses and drinkware will need to be hired in. We can sort your license for selling alcohol.
Yes. Please note that Stickwick is a working farm with livestock and poultry. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead.
Yes we have basic toilets available at small extra charge for cleaning. More toilet options are available to hire in.
We have accommodation for 24 guests on site. For those who wish to camp there is a camp site 12 minute walk from Stickwick, at Hennock Hideaways.
There is no sound system in the barn, this would need to be hired in or shared with any band, DJ or music option you book.
We love a party and a dance but we also love our neighbours! We like to know what options you are considering and ask that 11pm is the end for amplified music and the event ends by 12.30pm.
Yes. Maybe you are thinking of a bouncy castle or axe throwing on the field. We do have contacts and can help. Please do discuss any ideas, we need to consider the location of activities and health and safety aspects.
There may be an additional charge if extra work or power is required.
All third-parties coming on site will need to provide proof of public liability insurance and any other relevant certifications depending on the service they provide.
Sorry, no fireworks or lanterns are allowed.
You do need to take down/remove all your own decorations and extras you have used to dress up the barn for your event. With the exception of additional lighting which we can help you with or your supplier must remove. Everything hired must be ready to be returned/collected. Waste sorted into correct recycling bins.
A small day time event only may be possible, depending on the event type. We are more than happy to discuss your ideas and plans.
For three-day hire accommodation booking is essential.
