Stickwick is Good to Go

Our aim is to make your holiday at Stickwick Manor & Cottages as safe and enjoyable as possible. We have made some changes to ensure your safety, and what you can do to help us.

We have undertaken a risk assessment, Covid-19 Cleaning Course and successfully achieved AA’s ‘Covid Secure’ and Visit Britain’s ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standards, which ensures we adhere to best practice.

Book with confidence

If Covid-19 was to prevent your holiday (tier travel restrictions or lock down), we can move your dates or refund your monies.

If household numbers come under restrictions – bookings will be moved free of charge.

You must take out insurance to cover all other risks – of any of your party were to come down with Covid-19 illness or symptoms, or have to self isolate or inclined not to travel. Plus any other reason or issue. Check out ‘gocompare’ for examples of these policies.

Pre-arrival

We send you as much information as possible about any rotas, changes, and what’s open in the area, etc.

Names and address will be collected as per Track and Trace, although a NHS QR code is available to check in with on arrival as well.

Please do not arrive if you or any of the party has symptoms.

Cleaning

We have always cleaned our cottages to a high standard, but now even more rigorously and follow government advice on opening.

We have had to remove a number of soft furnishings and toys boxes which are more difficult to sanitise between guests.

Bed protection is changed and all crockery and cutlery, glassware, pots and pans are washed between guests departing/arriving with a time gap of less than three days.

After a thorough clean, we then sanitise all rooms with a fogging machine, as well as manually sanitising all high traffic areas, doors, keys and touch points before your arrival.

On departure we ask for you to help by stripping the bed linen and bagging up and opening windows.

Symptoms

If a guest develops symptoms of Covid-19 or is asymptotic but declares they need to self isolate, they must inform (phone) the home owner, before isolating to minimise risk and requesting a test. The whole party needs to check out immediately and return home to self isolate using private transport. If any member/s of the party are unable to return home (e.g. too unwell), the circumstances should be discussed with a health care professional/local authority.

Please note – The guest will be liable for the normal tariff + subsequent lost bookings costs during this period (+3 days).  After departure the house will then be left empty for 3 days before being deep cleaned. No monies can be refunded from any days guests did not stay at the property.

A Covid pack is provided in each house (mask, apron, gloves, and waste bags)

Once home, guests should follow government guidelines. We do hope you have a wonderful stay with us.
